What about Canada or being Canadian do you love?

I'm conducting research as part of a social movement, iheartcanada.org. Site is underdevelopment. Need content ideas. Thanks for your help! Also looking to meet some Canadian loving friends!!

About me: I'm a wanna-be Canadian. Already submitted my application to immigrate as a skilled-worker. Toronto in '08 or bust. "Strong and FREE ... O Canada!"

I'd like to think that Canada is more accepting and forward thinking. I'm particularly proud of the fact that unlike the US, there was little debate when it came to legalizing g*y-marriage.

I love the large natural areas, national and provincial parks.

I like the fact that we have healthcare (even if it could be improved), and the fact that for the most part people seemed laid-back, polite, and depending where you are of course, genuinely happy to help.

What i LOVE about Canada is the people !

Honestly most Canadians are laid back, ready to help and nice. I also love being Canada because it's a good country on most parts and are not involved in so much c**p as the USA.

I like looking out my window and seeing the snow cap mountains and the beautiful blue sea.

i feel that people here are more laid back, and nice. also, there are plenty of natural areas, and the air is clean.

what i don't like is the obsession with hockey , and tim horton's coffee

First of all I love our people.  I love our wide open spaces, our miles and miles of coastline, our mountains, forests, tundra, and ice fields.  I love our diversity and multiculturalism.  I love that we can move from one province to another to live or work, and can be quite at home.  I love the CBC and Rick Mercer and Mary Walsh and Gordon Pinsent and Anne Murray and Celine Dion and Wayne Gretzky and Gordie Howe.  I love the memory of Terry Fox and Peter Gzowski (spelling) and Pierre Berton and Pierre Elliott Trudeau.  I love the fact that we maintain a connection to the British royal family - even though I have Irish roots!   I love our colourful money and our loonies and twonies.  I love our relatively crime free environment.  I love Canadian Geographic.  I love   the fact that Trivial Pursuit was invented by Canadians.   I love our many different accents and cultural traditions.   And .. yes ... I have to admit it ... I love Tim Horton's coffee!

It slaid back not as much c**p in the social issues like the USA .The person who ranted about Canada should try living in the USA and see if its any better!! I lived in the USa for awhile but am Canadian .

That person talked about beign taxed to get subsidized health care ..welll more education would tell them that the costs in the states for health care and paying for what we take advanatge of is far more then our taxes.They should try checking out americas ghettos which makes any poor areas of Canada seem like a beautiful place to live.

INstead of rantting they should move to the STATES ! No one is keeping them  in Canada.

I have lots of Americans  working with me and they love Canada !
