  1. While each caddy has their own arrangement, I would hope that Eldrick would make sure that Williams sees, at a minimum, a marginal sum (with that being said, his caddy has done very well financially).

If he gets desperate maybe he can put the smock on and go beat up a group of 7-year olds or something...seems right up his alley.

  2. He's already been hired by Britney Spears to rough up photographers for her.

  3. Even if Tiger negotiated a less than 10 percent contract with Steve Williams, he makes more than every caddie at least two-fold.  Tiger had something like 5 victories in this first half of the year?  Plus you add the other finishes, where he makes the cut (which Tiger virtually ALWAYS does) and collects a check.  In addition, you may have noticed that Steve takes his bib off for the last putt on the 18th hole at almost every tourney, and his shirt has a Valvoline logo on it, I guarantee he's not doing that just for free oil changes, he was somewhat of a name in the racing world before he picked up Tiger's bag.

Bottom line, don't worry about Steve, he's living more comfortable not working than most of us live with a steady paycheck.

  4. Maybe he'll temporarily work for some other golfer while Tiger recuperates. Depends on whatever "contract" he may have with Tiger (which none of us would probably know anything about), but that kind of jumping around is fairly common on the Tour.

  5. I'm trying to get him to caddy for me. He isn't returning my calls though. Apparently he's not ready to help a mid handicapper yet.

  6. Stevie wont have a problem. The standard caddy is paid 10% of the earnings (im sure stevie may get 12-15%). Tiger's career earnings top 81 mil. That leaves stevie with around 8-9 mil to get him through the year untill his next pay check. I gaurentee if he would run into any troubles, Tiger would step forward and help him out, no questions asked.

  7. Steve's makes money when Tiger wins at golf. Most of Tiger's money comes from endorsements. Steve (I have heard) is or was a very successful business man before becoming Tiger's caddy so he will be fine.
