I know i have put other posts about other starter bikes. And you guys tell me alot of good ideas.. But sometimes its hard to find a bike at a good price. I found a '94 cbr 900rr with 25000 miles for only $2800. I know its big for a beginner but it is a good price and i am taking classes in october. In another question i asked about a '89 zx7 which i dont think is to bad but it has 10000 more miles for $2500. That bike also weights i think 917lbs dry. Someone told me a heavier bike will hurt you more than a bigger engine. Thanks for all the help!

  1. Thats a great bike,, as u can see i am a big honda fan. i own a 2007 honda cbr600rr and i dont think its such a big bike.. i had a 97 cbr600rr as my first bike and the price on the 94 sounds reasonable. i think you should take the bike to a mechanic just to have a look at it...

  2. Of all you've mentioned, the CBR 600 sounds like the best bet. No, the ZX7 doesn't weigh 917 pounds... not even a Goldwing weighs that much! Someone gave you wrong information. Look on Craigslist, and on Ebay... also check your local papers for used bikes. If you look hard enough you'll find something!

  3. Of the three, the 900 is the best deal without seeing or riding the bikes. Try other locations. For $2800 you should be able to find a 2000 model.

Look at the link below. It's an 02 for 3500, great deal and I've personally verified the seller.

There are some other links to show you if you shop around you can find a better bike within your budget. Them old clunker bikes will give you a head ache

  4. I've seen some stuff for that Honda on eBay.  Go look at what I've found.
