9mm, 40SW, and 45ACP would go through a head with ease in conventional hp form.  But why ask such a question?  Plan on shootiung someone in the head?  A head shot attempt is not the smartest move in most situations.  If a state trooper can miss a torso shot at close range repeatedly (Kehoe bros. shootout in Wilmington OH) just imagine trying to do a head shot.

With deference to David's generally correct answer, I wish to add that a fragile lightweight JHP such as the Sierra 135 grain, might not make it through the opposite side of the skull, or possibly not through the opposite "stretchy" skin. Regards, Larry.
