  1. '' 've lived in southern italy for 3 years now. the people here can be a little odd. the mentality i find is rather backward, most people are very pleasent but some find foreigners strange. i speak italian well enough, i'm not fluent by any means, but very often people speak through my wife, whose italian, rather than speaking to me. i find this very annoying.

thank goodness my in-laws are all lovely people and have welcomed me into the family with open arms.. my mother-in-law is a lovely old lady who'd do anything to help me.. she always cooks me my favourite meal... home made ravioli..mmm

also work in the south is hard to find, i've had my job for a year and a half and i still work "in nero" cash in hand. southern italy isn't in europe, as european laws don't seem to apply here, it's in north africa ''

LMAO YOU DIDN'T ANSWER TO THE QUESTION MATE BUT YOU MADE ME LAUGH( I'M FROM ITALY )

  2. Florence is by far my favorite city in the entire world (i've been to Rome, NYC, Amsterdam, Pisa, Miami, Los Angles, Paris) so although I know I haven't seen most of the world, I have some knowledge.

The art and culture in that city is breathtaking, and the food and WINE, the best I've had in my entire life.

I HIGHLY recommend Italy as a destination.  Vatican City and the Sistine Chapel are something everyone needs to see.  Or, if you're into Il Duomo, that was fun as well.  Even the nightlife and endless gelato was awesome (J.J. Cathedral's, if you ever do make it to Florence!)

Italian people are honestly some of the most friendly (and gorgeous!) people I've ever met.  I've had nothing other than a pleasant experience and hope to go back ASAP

  3. depends where in Italy..

  4. I have just come back from italy :)

i went to rome for 3 nights and tuscany for four..

for my age group (16) i wouldnt recommend it but for people older than myself im sure they would love it in rome because of the scenery and age of everything

for me, tuscany was really nice

italian people are friendly and the men are VERY forward!

in rome, there are SO many tramps though come to think of it there were in tuscany, you just have to be careful at night from them and pickpockets

:) hope i helped dont hesitate to ask any questions

  5. Italian People are really Good...But if you want to get more information of Italy then you can find it from this website address-  http://www.stayresitaly.com. I hope it is useful for you.

  6. Please don't listen to people saying that Italia is just Mafia and quote The Sopranos.... That's a tv show, not life... besides it's true that very few italians can speak english. I can't, for example, but I think I'm available and if you should need some help, in Italy you'd find it, maybe with some little misundertanding problems.. can you see my point?!

If you need some info, please write me. Italy is worth seeing!

  7. italy is lovely but the people well it depends on where you go! i think that the people in the south are more friendlier than the people in the north!!

  8. I've never been to Italy. Don't know anyone Italian. A work collegue did go a couple of years ago with a group to visit Rome, the Vatican on a religious holiday.

  9. I lived in Italy for almost 4 years and it's an amazing place! The Italian people are so wonderful and kind. Go there if you have the chance:)

  10. I am Italian the italiy is very beautiful and we eat very better than you

  11. It will be expensive but worth it. It's beautiful and classic. There's a lot of people trying to sell you things or maybe steal, but those usually aren't the Italians that live there. I'm younger and had nothing stolen from me and never felt worried about it. But the Italian people are fun and lively. Everyone calls you bella too! Gotta love that

  12. I would strongly recommend Italy to anyone!  It is a beautiful country, with beautiful people!  Try to visit Rome, of course, and some of the places south of there.  Sorrento is a goregous city, and the Isle of Capri is right off the coast!

  13. When in Milan do not expect to meet many people who speak English or even want to try to .

Great people in the south and probally some of the best food in EUROPE.

  14. If there is time,..for your trip!!  Take a tour  to Venice. Florence. lakegarda   Sardinia  puglia, Tuscany.... and of course the capital Rome.  there is always a warm welcome  where ever you go...with  beauty surrounding every location.

  15. Italy's lovely, and Italians are lovely.

    Been there three times.
