  1. i say he'll be 20th or worse in 25 laps

  2. Bill is one of the all-time greats and you never know when or if he will get another win. I believe that he still holds some of the all-time fastest qualifying records and single lap records

  3. all i can say is give em h**l bill its just like riding a bicycle you never forget i know a driver in latemodel series who is like 70 yrs old and he kicks all the other drivers azz's  so go bill

  4. Yea, he qualified good and is having a decent race, however the wood brothers don't really have the equiptment anymore and as much as i hate to say it i think Bill's days are done and that he is just racing because he loves it so much. It is fun for him.I would like to see him get a good finish or even a win though that would be nice. And for the record, i LOVE old school NASCAR.

  5. When you retire-retire. He's hanging on, gonna embarrass himself. He has always been one of my favorites, it's time he realizes it.

  6. I thought it good to see old Awesome Bill wheeling a car again. Hope his team can back him up.

  7. YES!!! It is great to see my favorite driver qualifying so well!!! Maybe by some miracle, since the Wood Bros. are having such bad luck, Bill will win his 45th race tonight. That would make my night and the rest of my year.

  8. ...... you ladies will not give a breather to anybody.

  9. i thought he retired

  10. you said it...awesome

  11. Bill used to be one of the best, but now he just races for the fun of it, it's in his blood and yes a great qualifying run....hope he can keep it up there and stay out of trouble or have any mechanical problems..GL Awesome Bill from Dawsonville

Give the man a break, how many times has Mark Martin retired and re-retired??? Both are RACERS!

  12. Don't count out Wild Bill OR the Woods boys. They put Elliott Sadler in Victory Circle a few years back at Bristol! Maybe they'll have a good run and quiet all the haters of old school...

  13. Bill will always be one of the all time greats in my mind. He did great in quals but seriously doubt the #21 will a threat tonight....the team just isn't as competitive as they used to be. He's a very respected driver and agree with your good sport comment. Would like to see him get another win....but unfortunately I don't think it'll happen. I remember the year he actually won at Bristol driving the #9 Ford...it was considered a "fluke" because Bill was known for being tough on the bigger tracks and not as tough on the short tracks. But I agree he will always be "awesome".

  14. he is not still one of the best. Patrick Capentier qualified on pole at New Hampshire and he isn't one of the best.
