  1. maybe at the Olympic village

  2. Altho I love chess, it is a table game.....not a sport.  Nothing athletic about it,  and does not take physical coordination.  There are other sports not yet included in the Olympics that would be better.

  3. it would take way too long

  4. Ping-pong is a table game too. I didn't see one competitor so much as break a sweat during the finals. If ping-pong is in they should at least include air-hockey or fooze-ball.

Chess is a classic international game. It makes as much sense as ping-pong. Maybe more. Perhaps if you want some athleticism to it, they should make the players run laps in between turns instead of having a clock. Your opponent has from the time you start your lap until you finish to complete their move. So It would pay to be smart at chess and fast on the track.

  5. might as well include poker, blackjack, or stacking cups....h**l no

  6. Chess only uses Brain power, not Physical power, and so...I don't think it'll work.

  7. poker and blackjack is half skill half luck so no to the idiot above, and cup stacking would be fine as long as it passes as a demonstration sport, I know it's popular in a few countries, but I don't think it's popular enough.

    but chess a definite yes.

It's totally global, all skill (albeit none of it physical) and again it is entirely global.

  8. sure, if the chess pieces were gigantic and in order to move the pieces, you had to lift them. lets aim for the weight of each piece to be about 500lbs. to top it off, after you lift them, you have to do a beautiful gymnastic routine on it.

  9. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA its never going to happen because it isn't a sport.

  10. umm chess i would count as a sport even though some people do if you add chess you might as well add checkers
