can u take cockatiels on the road??

i go back and fourth between my mom and dad my mom lives an hour away and i want to take my bird wit me would that be good?

  1. If you have a close relationship with your Cockatiel it will actually be better for you to take him/her with you.  

    Constantly leaving and coming back would be more confusing to the bird than allowing it to travel with you and have that interaction with you.

    One suggestion would be to have 2 separate cages for each house but arranged the same way (perches and toys in the same location, same type, etc) so when you do travel back and forth your tiel will have a familiar home to rest and relax in.


  2. Yes it is ok to take your bird with you as long as you take her in a safe carrier or transport cage.
