Ok so if a female has a vaginal odor is that normal?? I mean if you are a cleanly person, you bathe daily, and you have good personal hygiene... how other than using a douche can you have no vaginal smell (embarrassed)

  1. well all women have a "scent"  but if you know its not a yeast infection, use baby powder on your undies and your bottom half to absorb odor and wetness which can cause smells. a yeast infection smells like fish and you will have a yellow discharge and oh yeah you itch like a mad woman!!

  2. I want to kno this too!

  3. Certain soaps that have perfumes can cause odor, they do sell over the counter kits that you can check for infections for woman. Remember too that foods you eat will change the smell of your body secretions. If you are dehydrated you will get a smell too. I would try a "clean" soap for awhile, no perfumes or dyes. How long since your last cycle? Make sure you are hydrated! If all else fails go see your doc

  4. The key thing here is: define "odor".  If you mean any discernible aroma, then that is normal.  If it is a strong and disagreeable smell then you need something for an infection.  People have fragrances that are normal - the trick is ascertaining which are normal and which are not.

  5. You can use Summer's Eve Feminine wash and afterwards use the Summer's Eve vaginal spray (Comes in diff. smells).  Those two should defintely work!  You can pick them up @ Wal-Mart.  Good luck!

  6. I have this too but i asked my dr. and i dont have a yeast infection or anything down there.

what helps is take a bath and put a lemon wedge in the water..

    it takes away the smell!

Or.. the smell could be on your pubic hair if you dont shave/wax

  7. everyone is different some women just have problems with odor where others dont...try vagisil maybe?? ive seen commercials for it and it says it stops odor? worth a try! also, i dont know anything about you but a lot of times when a woman has an std (not saying you do) that can happen and a lot of times odor is a sign of infection...this might be a good thing to ask your gyno especially if you have had normal pap smears...good luck!! =) hope i helped a little...

i wanna add real quick cause i saw the answer above...yeast infections should not smell...if you had a yeast infection it would be odorless...you can probably google this question too and get some ideas..just a thought.

  8. Maybe you have a yeast infection?  Certain medicines can give you one.  Its not just being "unclean".  Call your doctor.  Good luck.
