  1. That's a huge responsibility, especially with the children with autism. If you offer to tutor the children I would not accept less than 10$ an hour. Otherwise no less than 8.

  2. You do not mention the amount of hours, In my opinion the hourly rate would more than double once the 5 and 4 year ODs return from school.  Caring for these children seems to be enough, adding cooking and cleaning seems like a second job.  I can not imagine one person doing it all and doing it well.

I would suggest eight dollars an hour to care of the infant and cooking and cleaning, then the rate to increase to  twenty dollars an hour for the school age children's time at home.

  3. A lot would depend on the care and needs of the 2 autistic children.  Are they verbal, pottytrained, have meltdowns, aggressive?  If their needs are moderate to severe I would look for someone who has a good knowledge base on autism, sensory integration, meltdowns, sib's, speech delay, mental retardation etc.

I would expect that this would be much more than daycare costs and for a qualified person be 1800-2600/month
