What about handling while trimming or cleaning up leaves or flowers? Is it toxic to your skin?

  1. No problem there. The leaves are leathery so don't tend to make sap. Just don't ingest the stuff.


  2. It is best to wear gloves when handling Oleander.

    Also, never burn Oleander trimmings.  They give off a noxious gas.

  3. Just make sure that you wash your hands after handling you should do this after handling any plant or garden equipment anyway. The plant is supposed to cause people who fall asleep under it to never wake. so make sure that any room it is in is well ventilated.  

  4. Always advisable to wear gloves,or apply barrier cream,also avoid touching your face.The sap isn't toxic as such,but may trigger allergic reactions.
