What about if there is no past?

Hi guys,

I am a 28 years old man, haven't had a past of partying, dating. My whole life was studying, smoking weed, having problems with my parents. Now I am getting very closed to my mom and I feel more emancipated but still need a boost to discover myself, my identity. I am a cool guy, I am very open to everyone. I was lost. I meet one girl four years ago, got married, she had a past and was controling our lives. I couldn't live with that so I am in separation. My family is very far, I have no friends, I am very focused on my work. What should I do?

Hmmm….let’s see. I wouldn’t try to get TOO close to mumsy. Normally, guys your age are starting to move OUT away from the apron strings, not into them. But, looking at your file (and I have your file in front of me – unlike those of others which run for 50 pages,  yours is only half a page long – that’s from having no past, I expect), but smoking weed, sitting around, moping….I think you should find a porpoise in life, and supporting Barack Hussein Hitler Obama would be perfect for u. That’s that one solved. Next!

i think you have to find a 'cause' to commit yourself to. find the positive things that yo do have. and concentrate on those .

If you are asking about your family, all i can say is try talking to them on the phone. If you are asking about the girl, try to mend the situation if you don't want to, then start moving on. As for your own life...first of all, find something that you like doing. Anything. Then start with that, but make it something that achieves something or that means something. Finding who you are takes time. There are many people who are MUCH older and still don't know. But the trick is to comfortable. And stop being so focused on work. Enjoy life, find some friends, meet new people. You can be successful without being a workaholic, that is just a cover. Try to talk to new people.
