  1. Old fashioned...

Especially Mary. I don't think Irene goes with any of those names suggested.

  2. older "classic" names are making a comeback, but i don't think any of those are old enough yet to fit that category. they all go fine with Irene.

  3. heh..theyre all old people names hehehe

  4. Jane is an "old lady name" that is still nice

    oh and so is Lucy

  5. Hehe I only like Mary.

    My mom is Shirley.

My aunt is Judy, but its spelled and pronounced in German, but hse changed it.

I had a great-great-aunt named Mary, but she died when she was 98.

But I love the name Mary.

  6. Mary is nice. Judy isn't that bad either, but not many people use it anymore. Shirley is cute, but I automatically associate it with a Shirley Temple ;P

  7. these are traditional names. But they are still pretty and will come back into fashion, just be sure to check the acronym works

  8. I think they are definitely still good baby girl names :)

    Especially Mary.

I love that name, it is timeless and classic and just absolutely beautiful.

    Mary Irene sounds amazing :)

  9. Mary Irene

    Judith Irene...Judy

    Shirley Irene

    Shiralee Irene

    Shirleen Irene

  10. Judith isn't bad, but Judy sounds very dated (as does Shirley).  Keep in mind that Shirley was the Madison of its day (because of the popularity of Shirley Temple), and while it was a hugely trendy name for baby girls at one time, it fell out of fashion and now sounds like an old lady name.

Mary is classic and timeless, and not a name you hear much anymore.

  11. I would say no, they're not considered "good" baby names these days in general. Because of the new trend of making up names, people are more likely to call their kids Joodae or Sherilei or Merri. You know, normal names that have been given a few extra letters here and there. Mary is probably the most common these days. Sure, they would all go with Irene, too.
