  1. Yeah, I don't think there is any approach that you can take to writing poetry that coud honestly be considered "wrong". Sometimes when you read a poem the format can seem to not work but in the hands of a more capable poet or a different reader it may be truly profound.  


  2. While the rhyme pattern may be unfamiliar to you, it runs throughout this poem which is not really free verse.  Much of the rhyme is internal.

  3. I like poetry that has a regular rhyme and metre.

    A lot of the so-called poems that we read, even on this site, are just prose split into lines and this can make the meaning very obscure.

    Try reading them aloud if you don't believe me.

    I realise this is maybe an old fashioned idea - but then, I'm an old fashioned guy !
