  1. No you cannot just change from a regular to become royalty.Maybe you can be married into the royalty but it is very rare coz they are very snobbish and don't allow commoners to get married to their children. There is no royalty in America because people who fled from Europe were trying to run away from the tyranny of the monarchs.

  2. Because back in the 1600s and 1700s the majority of the prilgrims left England to flee from the monarchy and they wanted something different. Yet in true American fashion, we are never satisfied and we want our cake and eat it too. So we've basically turned our presidencies into psuedo monarchies. They used to say that any man could be president of the US but  it hasn't been proven. Even Barack Obama (the inexperienced one) is a state senator of Illinois so it's not like he's a man off the street.

  3. In most every nation around the world, a family of nobility exists. In the US, though, their native population consist of tribal leaders and no unified leadership. When America conquered the US, after the coming of Columbus, they displaced the native population. Americans, White Americans, mostly come from England and other European nations, where their king and royal families reside.

  4. No, because we have a constitutional democracy (or, at least, that's what they say). The President is elected for the people and by the people (even if we live to regret it :p). There's no succesion in the U.S. EXCEPT in the death of the President, in which case the Vice President is sworn in.

  5. There is no royalty in the US because everyone who left Europe was trying to get away from the idea of monarchy, and into democracy, you can't have royalty and democracy...well, unless of course you're in England. But that's different

  6. It states in the Constitution that no citizen shall bear a Noble Title.

  7. The United States is a Republic. We fought a war of Independence and declared our independence on July 4,1776.

There are people of Royal descent in America, but we do not use titles here. Some Americans have even married Royalty, most famously Grace Kelly,Marie-Chantal Miller, now Crown Princess Pavlos of Greece, and Lisa Halaby, the dowager Queen of Jordan. But,notice, it is women who usually assume the titles of their husbands and not the other way around.
