Question:

What about the children who come here illegally??

What do you think about the situation of children who come here at a very young age?? The children who know their country as America. Who are proud of being an American...who have done all right in their lives, got good grades in school, want to go to college, want to make something out of their lives. What do you think about the fact that in order to become a resident and a citizen when they are old enough to think for themselves and know right from wrong...in order to do so, they are forced to go back to a country that is foreign to them. Have to spend a lot of money in the process.....just so they can do the right thing. Do you think this is fare for the child?? Do you think the Government should make exceptions for children/young adults like this? People who can prove that they belong in America and have been a good asset to this country?

What do you think??

  1. YES! the Government should make exceptions for children! it wasn't their choice to come here illegally. We should allow them to use their positive energy for this country and the knowledge they have gained to help build an even better place to live. We are just taking teacher's hard work and throwing it all away, it's like slap in the face to them. A child that is here and goes to school, is an educated immigrant, and that's what we want more of right?

  2. I think you wrong, if a child is born on USA soil they are automatically a USA citizen, I feel is unfair to us tax payers, right it is confusing to the children who did work hard, but their parents are to blame, you don't see us USA people crossing the border to have our baby in another country just to have them be paid for

  3. hot topic! i actually know a few of my friends in that situation! it's really sad, they have no fault they were brought here when they were babies, but now, they cannot attend college, although they really want to, and they cannot get good jobs and pay taxes and be normal like they really wish they could! it's an everyday situation and it happens to lots of people, of all races not just mexicans! there are ilegal immigrants from lots of places!! but anyway, yea it's sad, and i wish they could make an exception, but i guess then it would defeat the purpose of the "laws" right?

  4. It totally sucks that their parents put them in that situation, but they are still illegal and need to leave and apply to be a citizen the legal way.  That's the only way.  Yes, they've been in school (that we taxpayers are paying for) but they have not been contributing nor have their parents, other than sales tax.  Again, it's their parents fault for putting them in that situation.

  5. While the selfish, criminal actions of illegal parents is not the child's fault,it is also not the fault of the American people. Our laws must be obeyed and when those children become adults they must do things the right way,no exceptions.

  6. I have heard of this. A friend of mine was shot in the head in Vietnam. He was very proud of the fact that he was king of the world! We helped him as much as we could but that still didn't make him king of the world any more than being brought to the US makes that child an American! Why should we pay for the criminal acts of their parents? Deport them back where they came from. Is it your theory that every child that ever came to the US should be a US citizen or just the criminal ones?

  7. No it is not fair to the child however their parents make that choice for them. There is a legal and illegal way to do it and that will effect their children's future- it is up to them how easy they make it for themselves and their children.

  8. Actually, the problem is you think my kids should pay for it, simply because of where they were born.

  9. I feel bad for those children, but the law is the law.  I think that their parents should not have put them in that situation.  It's just another example of how illegal immigration can hurt people.

  10. sorry, life isn't fair - even for law-breakers!

  11. I don't think you know what you are talking about.  But that aside, they broke the law.  They should be deported and the job that person would have taken from an American Citizen, can now go to an American Citizen.

Keep in mind, our parents represent us until we are of age.  When that happens, we do it our own way.  If you want to hammer someone.. hammer the parents and don't make the American Citizens and American Taxpayers pay for the stupidity of the the persons parents.  And if you don't like that, whang Mexico.. they have been encouraging that very behavior for a very long time and they are so morally off base it is pathetic.

  12. Blame the parents . Learn your role and jump back in that sewer ditch you were supposed to be in in the first place

  13. You have a nice argument, However even though I feel bad for the child's situation. It is they're parents fault that they are here, and of course our governments fault for not enforcing our laws. Now for my answer. I feel the child should go back and then come back over here legally, they can blame there parents for putting them in the situation that they are in. As far as looking at things case by case, it would cost too much money and there would be allot of fraud. So the best that could be done is send them back to wherever they came from. Then they can plead there case from in there own country. Remember no one ever said life was fair or easy. Think of it this way when and if they ever came back over here they would respect America and its citizens more then ever!!!

  14. It does not matter. If you come illegally you are are illegal immigrant. Go home and learn what it means to love your own country. Why you do not live in your country? Your country is bad, right? Go home and make ur country better.

  15. Actually those children haven't broken any laws until they are 18 and chose to stay here illegally. I say its sad but its the law.

If they have good records that can still apply for papers.

    They do have a chance.

  16. What don't you understand about the word "ILLEGAL?" They are criminals just like their parents. They don't belong here and our taxes should not have been paying for their education.

Yes, this sounds cruel but that's the law. There are American citizens that can't go to college or are bumped from programs because of illegal alien kids. That isn't fair!

  17. The illegal immigrant children from South of the border have a very poor academic record, a large proportion don't even graduate high school, most are pregnant teens, gang members or in jail, and all are depending on Citizens to pay for this behavior.

  18. I think their parents should be held responsible for putting their children through this ... The parents were the ones who brought them in illegally .

  19. Deport them all. No exceptions. They do NOT belong here!!!

  20. If they are old enough to think for themselves then they should understand the parents should be held responsible they put the kids in this position in the first place not America.99% of these kids have families in Mexico so they can adjust and make it.

  21. No exceptions.  Sorry.  When the child reaches 18 they need to go back to their own country and apply to come back legally.  Not my fault that their parents put them in the situation.

  22. In the end they are federal felons the same as their adult parents. Their age nor their ignorance of the law is no excuse. They need to go back to where ever and come back through via the legal process.

  23. I think their parents should have done it the right and legal way to begin with.  Is it the children's fault?  No.  But just where do we draw the line?  The law is the law.
