I just saw 2 of the 3 games in St Pete against the Rays... is it me or do they look like a bunch of losers? They had no pep, no bounch in thier step, and pretty much just mopped around. They played well for a few inninjgs and then it was over. Has losing the first 9 games totally broken the spirit of the team? and what can we do about it? really they are only 5-ish games back... if they play hard they can still make a run... I think Jim leyland needs to loose his mind and really start screaming at them..

what do you think?

  1. Our bullpen sucked before and STILL does suck! The Farnsworth deal is just so darn stupid,I would like DUMB-ow-ski  to eat some crow real fast.Leyland has really disappointed me also. They need to get rid of the garbage and let the young shooters come in. I would send Rodney ,Jones and Renteria packing right NOW! Letting go of Pudge this early was as big of a blunder as trading Jurrjens for Renteria....tooo bad...good bye 2008 season!

  2. The Tigers were so hyped up by the sports media in spring training & they haven't lived up to that & their bullpen will let them down just like they have so often this year & I still say they are a .500 team at best.

  3. After the Marlins trade last year many people declared the Tigers the team to beat in the aL this year. That hasn't happened and combined with numerous injuries, shoddy play, and a weak bullpen it has to be taking a mnetal toll on the team.

Their only hope is to suck it up and catch the Twinkies, who they trail by 7 games. The wild card is not a realistic goal at this point.

  4. they lost their first 7 games of the season. I've never seen a team with a lousy start have success. they are doing better than most of the teams I've seen with lousy starts. There isn't much that can be done. It's over for this year and probably next.

  5. The thing about AL central is that that team who suppose to play for contending are not doing it. That means the holes they predicted in the beginning of the season are bigger than they were originally planning to fill up or they just dig it bigger.

Double the expectation, twice the fall. The expectation was too high for them and when things are just not going to their way. They are all just seemed lost to you. The season is not done yet and you are right, if they try, they still have a chance. Lets hope the Tigers get it together and in the mix of the AL central leaders.
