I wrote this for my drama class. We were supposed to write one based on personal experience.

Exposition: Allison is at a fast food joint with her best friend, who recently broke her heart. As she listens to him, she comes to a realization.

Really. Hmm. What do I think? I think.... I wasn’t listening to a word you were saying. Sorry. No, wait, actually, I’m not sorry.

New subject, okay? Let me just put it out there: I don’t want to be your friend. Whew! Man, than feels good to finally say.

Yeah, I know I said it was fine. I may have been a little insincere. It’s not fine. It’s not "cool". I don’t wanna “hang out” with you at the mall or let you copy my homework when you get lazy, or order crappy Chinese takeout and watch Monty Python for the millionth time. I don’t want to be treated like another one of your guy friends, or hear about some other girl you like. And I sure as h**l can’t act like nothing happened.
