  1. I think Aideen is too similar to Aidan, and it could get really confusing for you and them (and everyone else!). How about Nadia? It is Aidan backwards.. Or Diana is Aidan re-arranged. I think Nadia Wren is pretty cute, and NOT confusing at all :)

There are other names similar to Owen like Wyn/Win (blessed peace), Onawa (wide awake), Awen (Muse), Wenna (maiden, white seas), or Wen (?)

I really really love Emily Claire, although Emily has been the #1 girls name for the last 12 years so it is REALLY common!!!

  2. Hi there,

I think it would be more unique & special for the girl if you gave her names with their own seperate meanings. That way, each child will have their own seperate names & meanings... and can feel special in their own individual ways. Since your names seem to be of Irish/Scottish descent, here are some other suggestions for you:

~ Ainsleigh - Means: His very own meadow

~ Brianna - Means: Noble, Virtuous

    ~ Cara - Means: Friend

~ Darcy - Means: Dark, Dark-haired, descendant of the dark one.

~ Fiona - Means: Fair, White, Beautiful

~ Greer - Means: Alert, watchful

~ Isobel - Means: Consecrated to God

~ Keela - Means: a beauty that only poetry can capture, beautiful.

~ Kenzie - Means: Fair one, abbreviation of McKenzie

~ Skye - Means: the name of a spectacular island off the West Coast of Scotland

    ~ Teagan - Means: Beautiful

    Hope this helps. Take care.

  3. why don't you branch out and try something different for your daughter... instead of giving her your two sons names.

  4. why would you do that??

  5. That sounds great

    Go for it

    xx

  6. having a son named Aidan and a girl Aideen might get confusing so I think you should change it, its a great girls name though

  7. Why would give your daughter both names of her brothers? That's a step away from George Foreman, who named all of his children George (boys and girls).

Let her have her own name and identity. Besides that, Aideen Olwen is terrible (lol, the YA spellchecker just told me to correct my spelling of "Aideen").

  8. I wouldn't do that.  Those names are too similar to Owen and Aidan.  I think a child deserves their own identity.  You should choose a name with a different meaning for your daughter.

  9. I prefer Emily Clair over Aideen Olwen. Although I like that name I think you should do something different from your boys names. Give her, her own name.

  10. If you name your daughter after your sons, it might cross her mind that you wish she would have been a boy, you know what I mean?

It probably would have crossed my mind once or twice.

  11. Ewwwww, why would you do that?  That poor girl would get shafted big time.  Why would you carefully choose the names of your song and then decide to give your only daughter her brothers' names?

    Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
