Question:

What about this thing called Unity?

The word unity has been tossed around a lot lately, especially in politics. The Democrats are divided, the Republicans are divided, this person hates that person, etc. etc. I have seen a lot of hate mongering and ignorance not only in politics, but in mankind. Why are we talking about unity out of one side of our mouth and then bashing our fellow man (or woman!) out of the other side? We need unity all right, unity in the human race. Can't we all agree to disagree on certain issues and just ignore the hatred? I believe we've forgotten how to debate effectively.

Who agrees...or disagrees?

  1. Yes you are right........ but you know, i have felt that the human mind is not strong enough to deal with a problem called "Superiority", this is the only word to define why we are not united. Unless everybody accepts his or her knowledge, appearance (Color) and religion is "unique" and should not be compared, nothing will change, and there will never be a "Unity".

  2. Unity is agreeing to disagree - peacefully.

Bashing is agreeing to disagree - violently.

The distinction is that some people see working together on commonly held viewpoints as empowering, and some people see only the power of using a group of like-minded people to force the rest to think and act the way they want.

  3. No one is perfect

and everyone is a hypocrite even me and even you

because no one can live up to everything they say

    the world has problems

and calling people out on every little one isnt going to fix them
