Might it be practical to have a hydrogen on demand generator that gets its power from a regenerative braking system rather than just drawing power from the alternator?

  1. All a regenerative braking system does is recover a (fairly small) percentage of the heat normally lost during braking.  It doesn't produce very much energy - certainly not enough to seperate very much hydrogen from water or whatever other source you're using.
