What accent colors should I use?

I have painted my bedroom walls sky blue with slightly darker blue for the baseboards and doors. Now I'm trying to decide what kind of color scheme I should use for my new sheets and panels? I was thinking something like burgandy but I'm really clueless as to how to go about this. Can anyone help me with this?

Touches of yellow and red would look nice. Trow some white in there to keep it fresh and crisp looking.

Well, I am not a decorater, but, by picturing your colors, I don't think that burgundy would be a pleasing color.

Light Blue and a bit darker blue, seem to me, to be NOT compatible with dark colors.

I would think, that WHITE would be a PERFECT accent, a nice crisp color pop next to the blue's.

But, if you don't want to use white, well, I am not sure. Your colors sound kind of "Caribbean", so, maybe a print with blues, pinks, yellow, white and maybe some green, would look nice as curtain panels and bedding.

By "Caribbean", I don't mean a beach theme, just use the colors. Go online and look at pictures of houses in Bermuda or Aruba. You will see what I mean.

Burgandy would be an awesome color to use! It matches with the blue yet it sticks out against the blue so that the colors kind of blend but pop out at the same time. It would be better than going with another type of a blue and having a dull, blue room.

Brown is also a good color to use.

I think that would go well together...or you can do a black or dark brown.

It sounds like you want your room to be modern: so I would rec commend solid black or white.To make the colour really sharp. Then add little splashes of colour with flowers, candles, etc

usually if you look at a color wheel-the color directly opposite from one another go best together-i would check that out. however maybe a soft green or ivory would go best since your walls seem like they are pretty "loud" already.

if you look up Nautica beddings  they have a nice set for the bed ,all you might need to do is to add a touch of yellow

try to use contrasting colors for a more modern look.

maybe a light blue bed spread with orange yellow or red throw pillows?
