  1. The best you can afford.  There is a common misapprehension that only a professional needs a good instrument.  That said, at a common street price of about $470 plus tax, the Blueridge instruments are excellent choices for student instruments.

My qualifications to answer?  I own a lot of guitars, including very high-end instruments.  I also own two Blueridge guitars because they set-up well, are very playable, and not bad tone-wise.

Try to avoid being dazzled by the look of the instrument.  Sit with the guitar in playing position for at least 15 minutes.  If you like the feel and balance, and you can press the strings down anywhere on the neck with ease, you may have a winner.  Have a competent player play the instrument so you can hear what you will (eventually) sound like in performance.

    Have fun.

  2. You can buy a Epiphone PR-4E Acoustic-Electric Guitar Player Pack. It has everything you need for a beginner if you want a classical guitar for classical or flamenco music I suggest the  Lucero LC100 Classical Guitar or a MC-1 Mini Classical Guitar. They're pretty good deals, especially the epiphone player pack.

  3. I started out with a cheap Yamaha. I wasn't afraid to bang it around and it served me well.

  4. well, very hard question to answere. look for your name brands but others sound good also. head to a guitar center and try out a few and see what you like. but go in knowing what type of look or sound you may want.
