I live in a condo association in which I pay common charges. The other day, the groundworkers chopped up the backyard shrubbery.

  1. Ugh! My heart goes out to you on that one... that kind of situation would make me want to go and live as far away as possible from anywhere that could potentially harbor lurking ground workers! Assuming that uprooting to go a live in the wilderness somewhere isn't what you had in mind... you still have a few choices. I do not have a background in law and am not familiar with the contract or agreement within which you pay common charges. However I am sure that there are various actions possible, both legal and illegal which help you vent your frustration at the situation.

In my experience, and observations of others however, I have noticed that such actions usually incur a great unbalance of loss and gain. You lose energy, time, peace of mind, inner calm -  at best you gain a material resolution that is in your favor, at worst you gain nothing and your precious effort is lost.

I would do nothing. I would choose to invest my valuable time and energy in things which were more necessary and rewarding.

Do something you enjoy. Something that makes you or others happy and forget about the backyard shrubby!
