  1. zoo's

    Farms

    science museum

    history museum

hope the websites below are of some help

if these are no help try going to your local tourist information centre if you have one or see if there is an online tourist info site

    Shell

  2. How about the zoo, or maybe an urban farm if you have one near to you. You could also try somewhere like like Seaworld. There are also indoor play centres all over the place that have ball pits etc, which little ones love, and they often have areas for under 3's only so that they don't get trampled by the older kids.

  3. A lot of places have children's museums...or science centers with a younger child area......go to the zoo...it is perfect for a 3 and 4 year old. Go to a farm....go strawberry picking...I just went three days ago with the kids and we had the best time.

Go bowling on rainy days...most places have bumpers for the gutters......go out to lunch around 2 at a dim sum place...this way it is not crowded and she can try different things.....try outer restaurants as well.

Go on a bear hunt...We go on hikes and call them "Bear Hunts" and she loves them....we also take along a disposable camera and she gets to take pictures....I love giving 3 and 4 year olds camera...it is awsome the pictures you get.

Go to the library...they have story time and some have arts and crafts.....go to a minor league base ball game...they play music and games in between the innings.

Go to a color me mine place andmake a plate together...or other special items....

  4. Is there a childrens museam in your area?  the aquarium, zoo, library,

  5. If you are near London you could go the the museums.  I took my boys to the Natural History Museum and they loved it - Bob the Builder is at the science museum at the moment.

If not go to feed the ducks take a walk in a field go bug hunting, go for a walk along the river

  6. Zoo's , farms, local parks such as National Parks and houses (they often have fun days), museums sometimes have kids exhibits and activity packs, depending on where you live there are science museums for kids called Technoquest (I think). Also try looking on local websites like council, parks, museums as they could have details of events.

Otherwise I'd plan days out together such as the woods (collect stuff to take home and make stuff with), swimming, park....everything can be made fun and educational with 3-4 year olds! Talk to your child, ask questions, show them things of interest, let them feel and explore things...thats the best way to learn!

    Have fun!

  7. Great Trips for the young child:

    1.  Libraries have some super activities either story hour and in the summer there may be weekly shows like magicians, music, etc..  Best of all they are FREE!

    2.  Nature Centers - try your county parks, they usually have activities or classes.

    3. Animal Shelters like the Humane Society are great for learning about animals and responsibilty.

    4. Childrens' museums

    5.  Art museum's usually have great tours for kids or you can self tour the museum looking for paintings that show pictures of sounds in the alphabet like "C is for cat"  Find a cat painting or sculpture.

  8. Picnic in a park, swimming, museums, table games, painting, karaoke, feed the ducks, wildlife park, zoo, seaside, a day on a farm

  9. Any trip can be educational - just going to the shops, counting money. Visiting the park finding different trees and comparing leaves etc - kids love most things

  10. the park, aquarium or zoo

  11. Anywhere.  Everything is an education at that age.  But try an art museum and check your local library for free activities for that age group.

Water parks are fun, where it sprays up from the ground.  All you need are those swim type pull-ups and sunscreen..  The park is always fun.  Plenty of fresh air and exercise.

Many family fun centres let in the tykes for free.  Kids that age can try dance classes and martial arts, too.  Stop by the closest kindergarten classroom or pre school and ask for ideas there.

Movies are an iffy idea.  Kids that age have trouble keeping still and quiet for so long.

  12. What about the park.  Let the children out in the fresh air!  They can collect leaves, stones etc. or draw a scene...

  13. FARM

    THEME PARK

    PARK

    BEACH

    SOFT PLAY AREA

    Hope this helps.

  14. Two really great trips are to a farm, or the 4-H section of the county fair, and the a plant nursery.  Both give kids the hands on experience that involves all of their senses for learning.  We take our 3-year old class to these places every year.  They love to be able to pet and hold animals that children in the city often do not get to see.  Also at the plant nursery you can learn all about growing.  How a plant starts out, how flowers can turn into fruit, and most places don't mind if you want to touch things like leaves and herbs.  Children's museum's are also a great place to go because they have lots of learning activities for the little ones, and they won't even know they're learning!  Zoos are also a great choice for a day out.  As for the fun ones, don't forget about water parks (they have activities for small children), a picnic at the park to fly some kites and play on the jungle gym, or even set up a camping trip in your back yard.  Remember the most important thing is that you're together and you can provide your child with memories and learning that will last a lifetime!

  15. the local park? have a picnic - with finger food and then play football and feed the ducks? nice relaxed afternoon but only good when its sunny.

If it raining how about one of those funlands play area places - you can eat there and cater for all ages...

If you are thinking of something bigger maybe disneyland/legoland.

Small activites...colouring,drawing, painting, playing games, football...

    Good luck
