  1. You can all see who can hold their breaths the longest (breathing causes CO2).

You can all bicycle to the next town to get a feel of what it's like to not use fossil fuels.

You can all go a week without using any product made of plastic.  This would include your deoderant and toothbrush.

    You can...

  2. You know what would really fun, and it would help cut down on some unsightly pollution at the same time?

Have a bunch of BONFIRES! And instead of just burning regular wood, you could burn old pallets, and TIRES! Man, those tires burn really well! The light and heat from these fires would help to make people aware of the crises.

You could  call it "Global Warming: A Thousand Points of Light (and Heat)"

  3. You could have a "live like Al Gore" theme party- host it in an overheated mansion lit up like a Christmas tree and fly in all the guests on a private jet.

  4. Some ideas:

    - lobby your legislature.  Especially local and state politicians.  Write letters, make phone calls, and (most importantly) visit them and talk about why global warming is an important issue to you.

    - Reach out to people in your community.  Ask people why (and whether) global warming matters to them.  If you are looking to make positive change, you have to talk to people in a language that resonates with them.  That means not confining the discussion to people that are already passionate about the issue, but reaching out to others as well.

Think outside the box and make it local!  Most people are concerned with what's happening in their local world.  Think about how global warming affects your town (and if you don't think it affects it, just look at food prices) and craft an action strategy around it.

I'm willing to help brainstorm specific strategies if you want to give me more information.

  5. Haha, field trip in a gas guzzling bus to some museum or something about 50 miles away. Doesn't that seem a little ironic?

  6. Okay first of all a great title is "Polution stinks... literally" I won a contest for that on a poster in grade three. Second of all we know what's happening in the world why do people need to go on a field trip to prove it?

  7. Check with coastal cities and get your facts straight, also US Coast Guard
