  1. Cabo: see the rock formations, it's a spectacular sight, and you will also get to ride in a smaller boat.

Puerta Vallarta: I recommend one of the many city tours.

  2. In Mazatlan go to the golden zone, see the acrobats, and for shopping.

In Los Cabos, its Cabo Wabo, and the flea market.

:In Puerto Vallarta, you can see Walmart from the ship.

They have cheap internet service at all ports.

  3. My husband and I just went on this cruise in May. First thing I want to say is to bring a sweater...it was pretty chilly on the outside decks of the boat until we started passing Cabo on the way to Puerto Vallarta. I think it was the second day on the boat that it actually started to warm up. I guess depending on what cruise line you are on...we were on Carnival. In PV we we did a shore excursion provided through Carnival. It was the "Expert Hiking Tour" and it was very difficult...and I'm in shape. After that we went to Hotel CID which was a short walk from the pier and had massages on the beach. In Mazatlan we organized a shore excursion on our own and I probably won't do that again. It wasn't bad, it was just a little stressful in wondering if the tour operator was really concerned about getting back to the ship on time. We were back with lots of time to spare but I was just nervous anyway. The excursion took us to Stone Island which was pretty boring if you ask me. Apparently the snorkeling was really bad and it was a VERY poor little island. Wouldn't go there again. In Cabo we did an another excursion organized by Carnival. We got on a bus and had a very nice drive into the desert where we met our ATV's! It was so much fun riding through the dessert. Then we just walked around Cabo and went to Cabo Wabo sat on the patio and had awesome margaritas! We absolutely loved Cabo, it was gorgeous, it was definitely our favorite stop and everyone we spoke to on the boat said the same thing.

The cruise we were on was a little more formal than I was used to from other Carnival cruises. People actually got dressed up at dinner so I would definitely bring your formal wear...you'll use it.

You are going to have a great time!
