  1. A couple of examples:

Stories- eg 'What makes me happy' by Catherine Anholt

Craft- cut out pictures of different facial expressions, e.g surprised eyes, happy mouths etc and have children paste them on paper plates to make a feeling face

  2. Imaginative play (puppets can  be used to act out real life experiences as can dressing up, home corner, etc because the child is able to take on the role of another person).

Musical activities (banging a drum can help children release any aggression)

Water and sand play (can  be soothing to touch and pour)

Wood (banging and release of aggression)

Clay, play dough, modelling materials (helps to release aggression as well as being soothing and calm to touch)

Books and stories - hearing about how other people deal with emotions/worries/first experiences can help children to talk about their own

Writing/drawing - children can write or draw about what they are feeling.
