This is the storyline.

5 weeks ago Kane beat up rey mysterio in the parking lot and took his mask. he asked the announcers if he was alive or dead. he says that rey mysterio is alive but his spirit is broken.

Rey Mysterio will return in a rivalry with Kane after Unforgiven.  Therefore, Kane won't win the World Heavyweight title at the Championship Scramble.  Kane should wear Rey's mask since he lost his, I think X-pac has it.  Cena and JBL have a rivalry so they won't win the title.  Batista also has a rivalry with Kane till Rey show's up so he won't win the title.  CM punk wins at Unforgiven.  Rey (unmasked) has a feud with Kane when he returns after Unforgiven and is set up for a match at No Mercy.

I would tell you, but all these people are correct.  WWE did a swerve from it being Kane's mask, and this is the storyline they went with.  I like it!

He said it was Rey Mysterio's mask, he beat him up in a parking lot brawl, and by asking is he dead or alive, and he said he was dead, Rey isn't dead. His spirit is though.
