  1. Hands on approach, visuals,  ....also read the child's IEP and see what their strengths are that should help...what disability does this child have??

  2. I would use a lot of visuals.  Get a pictoral representation of the terms "Living" and "Non-living" and have your students (It is an activity that all students could do) sort other pictures into categories.  Also find pictoral representations of the "definition" of living that you are trying to teach - ie needs food, grows, needs air, water, etc

  3. ,A lot of the answers should be found in the iep. Otherwise the more senses that are involved, the better the outcome.
