  1. It has to be a solvent free adhesive or it will melt the plastic of the shower tray

  2. the instructions will tell you what you are allowed to use

    silicone

    tile adhesive

  3. Silicone.

Make sure you primne or seal the wood first - otherwise the oil will migrate. You could use two part epoxy (Araldite) but this is rather an expensive option.

  4. I wouldnt use any adhesive, but if you really need too use silicone sealent (but sparingly) then if you ever need to get to the pipe work underneath because of leaks or you fancy a change you can remove it without wrewcking the tray..

  5. liquid nail there is many different type for all types of applications it works great i use it my self when i have a bond i want to stay in place .

  6. i assume that you are referring to a resign bonded shower tray as apposed to a plastic one with legs. the best for resign bonded showers is ever a weak mix of sand and cement or tile adhesive. do not use mastic this is not recommended by the manufactures of the said shower trays.

  7. Agree with Monkeypi, do not use adhesive, I've fitted lots of showers and always use Everbuild Everflex 500 bath and sanitary sealant. after you tile the walls seal the edges with the sealant it has excellant properties and the tech spec is as follows.

500 Bath & Sanitary Silicone is a premium quality high modulus acetoxy cure silicone sealant that contains a high level of powerful anti-fungal compound to prevent mould and fungal growth. Typically used in areas of high humidity, such as bathrooms, toilets, showers and kitchens in both commercial and domestic applications. Conforms to BS 5889(B) and ISO 11600. If you can't get hold of Everflex 500 then make sure what you use is a High Modulas Sealer
