  1. There have been many direct as well as indirect benefits accruing from the use of technology in all areas of health care - preventive , hospitalization , remedial , post remedial, surgery, medication , recuperation & rehabilitation, sanitation/sterilization/hygiene, etc.

     We now have nuclear medicine, laser therapy/surgery, noninvasive testing & surgery due to development of tools & techniques.

     Health care can now be done from a distance through e-medicine & e-doctoring along with digitized/electronic gadgets where patient can self-monitor & report.

     In radiology one has a wide range of testing & investigative procedures/ techniques/appliances - including MRIs & ultrasounds, ...

     Genetic & stem cell research has seen a lot of progress due to the use of new/modern technology. genetic mapping, DNA profiling, cloning, gene therapy..

     Drug administration is becoming more & more target-specific, localized & non-invasive.

     Space technology has also provided some insights & answers about our body functioning through experiments conducted in spaceships & outer space, besides the application & transfer of new materials developed.

     Physiotherapy & occupational therapy have gained through use of new exercise equipment & appliances .

     Replacement surgery has progressed with the ‘replaced organs’ lasting much longer due to improved materials being used.
