I was having this debate with some friends earlier and they all had really profound answers.

I couldn't honestly think of anything other than "don't eat from that chinese place round the corner because you will be ill" but other than that nothing.

It's not that I have no insight or imagination I've just always believed our mistakes and the challenges are what make us who we are. And what's done is done so there's no point in trying to relive things.

I digress, my question is do you agree or is there anything you with you could tell yourself at 16?

  1. I would tell myself not to be so dramatic about things. Most teenage girls are over dramatic and I'm sure I was to a point. I would also tell myself not to get too upset about boys. There are plenty more and I will survive each and every break up that I will go through. I would tell myself that I will go through some very difficult times later on in life and to actually talk to someone about them instead of holding them in. It might make me feel better. Most of all I would tell myself to be happy no matter what!

  2. Other than to take school seriously...no.

  3. As a sort of turn on this answer, since I am sixteen, I thought about what questions I would ask my older self, and the only one that seems really important to me is:

    Will I be happy?

  4. So many different things happened since I was 16. Life has made many shrap turns for the better. All I could tell myself is to just hang in there some cool stuff is coming, and going, and coming around again, and then some other cool stuff with show up. Some bad will happen but never let that get you down because you will just be miserable, just stay optimistic.
