What ae the limitation Biofuels?

Are biofuels really useful or there are limitations to its usefulness? I hear it needs to be mixed. What are its limitations?

  1. Another limitation of biofuels is that it requires a HUGE amount of grain to produce. With a world already in the grips of a food crisis, it makes no sense to invest ourselves in one solution that will only contribute to another crisis.


  2. The primary limitation of biofuel is that it still takes energy to distill and process, say, CORN from its normal form into what you can put into a regular car, and have it run without damaging the engine.

    There isn't enough wind-power to provide disillation-facilities with the power they need to make enough biofuel for the whole country.

    The other limitation is that, even though when burned, most biofuels kick out less carbon monoxide, and other poisons, they still produce lots of regular carbon DIOXIDE, which, research suggests, contributes to global warming.
