What affect does acid rain have on man made structures?

Acid rain is damaging to plant life, building materials and fresh water creatures(most fish species die if the pH value  water is less than five).Acid rain will cause direct damage to architectural structures by corroding famous monuments.For example, a statue in the city of Krakow in Poland has been permanently damaged by acid rain eating away its surface.
