  1. The first time your body experiences nicotine, you will feel a bit dizzy. You have to push through that, smoking only until you get dizzy, then stopping and waiting for it to wear off, then doing this again and again until you can smoke a whole cigarette without getting dizzy.

I guess you could do the same thing with the gum. The pain in your throat was probably from the harshness of the gun. Ask him for another piece and see if it has the same effect. It should be a little less noticeable than the first time.

  2. nothing just don't chew it again

  3. yes thats what it feels like having that first puff, minus that nasty feeling in your throat from inhaling smoke.  Smoking is just nasty all together, you get bad breathe, your energy levels go down, very very bad for your health, and its a pointless expense, cigarettes aren't that cheap anymore (which is good).  Also your teeth get yellow, and people look at you like your stupid for smoking.  If your just curious to see what it "feels" like having a smoke, chew the gum, but don't make it a habit unless you like feeling dizzy and wanting to puke. Cigarettes are these days more for the white trash who live in trailer parks. Ever watch COPS? You always see rednecks getting a last puff of a smoke before being put inside the cop car.

  4. Some people get a bit of dizziness when they first smoke, if it's too much you OD'd on nicotine. Throat can hurt too but not usually with your first one, that's usually later when you're learning to inhale and haven't yet learned to dilute the smoke with air.

You didn't know to use the gum like nicotine gum -- you're supposed to chew it until you feel a peppery feeling and then "park" it for a while, then repeat. Chewing it like regular gum will give you a nicotine overdose. If you were trying smoking for the first time, or knowingly trying nicotine gum, you'd probably stop before you got too much, at least that's what most people do.

  5. no, what you experienced was a result of the chemical nicotene, it increases heart rate and raises blood pressure.  The "jerk" did you no favors.
