What affect will 60 legnths of swimming have on my body?

Im not overweight and am 15. I swim around 50-60 legnths a day of breastroke, no break. Will this have much of an impact on my fitness/body?

  2. Will definitely have an impact on your body if you are intending to do this for a steady period of time. Should tone up arms legs waist. Be sure not to put stress on your neck area and lower back by trying to keep your head above the water all the time.

  3. you muscles will build up and it will tone your body. if you do it everyday i am sure that i will improve your stamina as you will do it faster as you build  your stamina

  4. yes it will have an effect but not straight away. You will probably have to do at less a months regular swimming before any real changes take place. I swim over 60 lengths each day and the effects on by body are; Better cardiovascular system, more muscle and a slower breathing rate.  If you go to the gym as well you will notice that your muscles build up much more quickly.

  5. It's pretty good for keeping fit specially when you're a teenager. However youshould try other swims such as bacstroke which will enable you to strengthen muscles along your spine and other muscles. Crawl is very good to. You can also use a board and short flippers to strengthen your thighs and abdomen. Using a pull buoy will enable you to strengthen the top of your body, arms and shoulders. Just keep the same number of lengths but diversify the swims and exercises.

    just don't get obsessed with the way you look, we are different for a reason, so don't push yourself just becasue one of your mates has a six pack and you don't

    one of my girl mates went swimming every day for weeks on end becasue just one stupid person told her she looked fat in a particular pair of trousers

    so as i said, don't get obsessed and make sure you are doing it for the right reasons

    if deep down, you know your doing it for the wrong reasons, talk to someone, don't suffer on your own

  9. If you practice to swim fast and try to improve your record then it could be a good excersise.

    To be more precise, short distance swimming helps your muscles be prepared for fast reaction. this will  help in other mainly bat-based ones.

    What you should keep in mind as well is that fast swimming (short distance) uses Glucose as the source of energy, therefore, have sweets before practicing.
