by affordable i mean under 150 bucks with an upgrade/new service deal. where i live, i have seen it get above one bar only a handful of times. and many times it drop so low the att logo goes away and my phone wont work at all. its rly sensitive too. like in my back yard, the phone works great then i move two feet away, and it cuts down to nothing.

  1. check out www.freewebs.com/discountcellphones

it's my website for TMI Wireless. I've got just about every AT&T phone on there. You can click on them to see the price for your area. Most of them are free with a contract extension or a new 2-year agreement. Message me if you need any help. :o)

  2. How about the LG shine. That phone's great! 50$ with new service to my understanding.

  3. a lot of great phones areunder 150 dollars if your getting a new plan. i have the blackjack 2 with att. but the service depends on att not your phone

  4. Blackberry?

    LG Shine.

  5. Its not the phone that is the cause of poor service its whether the company your with is good and if they have enough towers in the area your in.

  6. The Motorola V9 and Z9 are really really good, but 50 dollars over what you want to spend, (after rebates)

The Blackberries are rated to have the best call quality, and I just checked, they do have some refurbs online. www.att.com

They would be in your price range

You may want to look into an antenna booster, they work really well in areas like yours where you are right on the fringe of the coverage. You can buy them at most of those little accessory shops... it's just a sticker that you put under your battery.

    Hope it works out!
