  1. Your dream is to "get into some electronics company". This is a relatively modest dream, you should be able to realize it without too much difficulty. Stay in TCS to earn a little money while you apply for jobs to various companies. Do not mention your abysmal test scores - the companies want to know what you can do, not what you scored at college. Use the internet to find some companies near you, then find out who needs new hires in the target company (by telephoning). You need to find the engineers name, it is no good contacting HR. This is the most tricky part, you need to find a technique that works for you. Maybe find the department head on the internet, then call him and ask who is hiring. Going to conferences is also good, network during the breaks and find the same thing.

Then call the guy and set up an interview! Say that you happen to be in town next Tuesday, and could you see him then?

The two biggest mistakes that people make are:-

    1) Contacting HR before you have a job offer. Do not contact HR until the engineer has said that he definitely wants to hire you.

    2) Feeling guilty about low test scores - these have a LOT less influence than you might think!

  2. You just work where u've got job right now... then do an extra course in networking like ccna, ccnp etc then there are opportunities for you to get nice jobs regarding networking field...... never let go your dreams from your eyes bcz i know wat the pain is to let them go like that.... that too bcz of family or financial problems.....  i hope you wont let it go... all the best for your new job in tcs its a nice reputed company yaar why do you wanna leave that... you'll surely get some good experience out there ... have fun...

  3. You are an engineer now. Get busy and do some research and answer your own questions - that's what engineers do.
