  1. My son went your way. Took up weightlifting to build himself up. Local weightlifting club (PCYC) advised should only do weights after you have dropped.

    Hope this is some help.

  2. it true i play 4  my high school  that's what they tell us to do all the time  but when they become to easy then move up.

  3. Okay lets get one thing straight first, lifting reasonable wieghts at a young age dos NOT! stunt your growth youd have to be lifting massive wieghts on various parts of your bodyto actually stunt your growth, its just a myth really unless your bench pressing, pectorial flying like three times your bodywieght.

But dont think you can go of willy nill and start lifting, you willl damage your growth platesif you do your wieghts wrong and damage your joints etc. so get some one experencied to spot you first. And liftimg controlled wieghts at a young age helps develop strong bones, ligaments and muscle for when your older.

Many tall people started lifting wieghts when they where younger than me and you(im 14 aswell and regurularly life wieghts) Arnold schwarzenegger  started when he was 11 amnd hes now well over 6ft 3.

    Good luck mate.

  4. More reps less wieght is right, make sure you can do at least 15 reps easilt and use this wieght, although using light wieghts will often tone your body rather than build mass which is probably what you want. I would reccomend using the light wieghts for now and using alot of reps, you will definetly notice the diffrence in your game althought full time wieght lifting should be after 18 if you don't want to stun your growth.
