my child is 3 years old can he stop riding in his car seat and use now a booster

  1. Most booster seats the child has to be at least 30 lbs.

  3. my son was 3 when i switched him to a booster. As long as hes not a peanut you can.

  4. some boosters start at 30lbs and some at 40lbs. If he still fits in the car seat I would stick with that for another year or two, it's simply safer. My kids went into boosters at age 5 when they started kindergarten. My youngest is 8 and still sits in a booster. He only weighs 48lbs (he's a peanut).

  5. My 3 year old rides in a booster. She is over 30 pounds which is the requirement for most of them I think.
