  1. In the UK, it is 21 years old with 3 years driving experience. The learner must be at least 17 years old, hold a provisional licence, be insured on the vehicle and must display "L" plates front and back of the car. The instructor is responsible for any speeding offences caused by the learner. Also the "L" plates must be removed when learner is not driving.
