What age can you drive a waverunner in New Jersey?

I'll be spending the the summer in Seaside Heights, New Jersey & I'd really love to rent a waverunner or kayak while I'm there. How old do you think a person legally has be to drive a waverunner?

You have to be 16 years old to operate any Personal Watercraft and you have to take and pass the Coast Guard Certification Class to get your boating certification. When you pass the class, you will be issued a temporary certificate so you can begin riding/boating immediately.
