  1. They can sexed as soon as they hatch, but it is more difficult on babies and it's easy for someone to missex them. As they grow, it becomes easier. Here's a good link to show you how to s*x them:

  2. Who is the idiot saying 1 1/2 yrs??!! They can be sexed from 4-5mths old, take note of what the other guy said about the bumps.

  3. i am no expert but i can tell you this

the age that bearded dragons can be sexed is about 1 1/2 years old,

when they start there mating signal. if you have 2 it will start sooner because boys like to show off. they will turn they're beards black and push it out while fighting.

girls tend to be nicer toward each other and don't really fight

IF YOU HAVE 2 BOYS NEVER HOUSE THEM TOGETHER!!!!!!

    THEY'LL KILL EACH OTHER!!!!

  4. The simplest method is to invade their privacy and just look. On the underside of their tail, just above the vent, there is typically either a single bulge (or none) or two separated bulges. If you see two clearly separate bulges, as in the upper image to the right, you have a male. If you see only one, you probably have a female. There is uncertainty with a single bulge, particularly if there isn't much of one. When beardies are young, they all look like females, but develop clearer signs of gender as they get older. You should be able to tell by time they're 7-8" STL.

The best way to hold your dragon when making this check is to place your dragon in one hand, perpendicular to your fingers, and facing away from you. Place your thumb over the back to hold them in place. With your other hand lift the tail up to approximately 90 degrees. Be gentle!!! You don't want to hurt your beardie.

(Also if in time you find out that you actually have two males it would best to keep them apart as males don't get on well together)

  5. that's sick,

    don't s*x bearded dragons, find a boyfriend...

  6. I would just like to comment on what Amy said. Two males can live together. The only time they start to get a bit annoyed is when you bring a female into the equation.
