  1. First girl - twin bed at 2 years.

Second boy - twin bed at 3 years (kept crib longer, like a cage).

Third girl - Probably twin bed at 3 years, as well.

  2. it definitely depends on your child's sleeping habits and personality.

of course its a good idea to wait until they sleep through the night and would be able to be trusted out of a crib all night.

also toddler beds aren't always necessary, skipping to a twin bed would be just fine too.

in short it is all about when you think your child is ready for the upgrade in bed as well as in the label from baby to toddler.

  3. We skipped the toddler bed and went right to a twin bed with a guard rail.  DD didn't have a problem with her crib, so she was probably 2 before we moved her over.

  4. when they can (and will) climb out of the crib - usually around the second birthday or sooner

  5. The little girl I babysit decided at 19 months that she would not sleep in her crib so I'd put her into her brother's bed and she'd fall asleep right away.

  6. My children never used toddler beds.  They went from a crib to a twin bed.  My oldest was 28 months, my other two were 18 months and I used a bed rail.

    Hope that helps!

  7. My daughter loved her crib so there was no rush to move her from it.  I bypassed the toddler bed and went straight to a twin sized bed.  She was about 23 months old, and the only reasonI did was because I wanted her to start feeling like a big girl so we could start potty training and getting rid of her pacifier.

    The transition was easy.
