  1. My son was 2 months his first halloween and we dressed him in an halloween outfit. (sooo cute) this year he will be 14 months and i'm going to dress him as tigger!

I would say about 2 to take them trick or treating and under 2 take him/her to families houses.

  2. 5 is the minimum age. people who dress up their kids before this should have child welfare come after them. they are the same people who dress up their dogs and cats.

  3. First Halloween I dressed him up! If the kids can't walk or eat candy though, then don't take them trick or treating. But a lot of the parents in my neighborhood will dress the little ones up and take them around in a stroller, while the older kids trick or treat.

  4. Our daughter was 2 months old, she was a pumpkin!!!

I think they are old enough right away, our son will be a month or so for this halloween and our daughter will be able to take her own candy!

  5. My daughter will be 7 months this Halloween and I've already bought her costume.  She's going to be a little lamb.  I think babies dressed up are so cute.  As for trick-or-treating and getting candy, probably 2 or 3.  If we  get candy this year, I'll donate it to work.  I don't want it hanging around my house.

  6. Daughter was 4 months we just dressed her up took pictures no trick or treat though

Son is 6 weeks and will be dressed up for halloween

  7. we went to a halloween party when she was 2.5 months old, I put a little build a bear karate uniform on her... so cute

She went trick or treating to the neighbors on either side of us, and my mom's house last year, she was two.

  8. I dress up my babies every Halloween. But I always skip Halloween for my 2 year olds because they are just learning how to walk and they are getting heavier and we just hand out candy and they love seeing all the costumes. Right now I have 3 kids, a 10 year old, a 3 year old, and a 1 year old. So 2 are surrounding the Halloween tradition! Hope I answered your question! Thanks!

  9. I personally dressed my son for his first halloween and he was 7 months old.  He was a very adorable spider man.  I took him to the mall for trick or treating. However, all the candy went to his big sister.  This year we will do the same thing.  But this time I think he may be the incredible hulk or a pirate.  Whatever you do, just have fun.  As far as trick or treating, I only take my kids to the mall or to a party.  We may only do door to door with our close neighbors. I hope I helped a little.

  10. My 2 year old started when she was about 1, because she was a year old [Her birthdays December 25th.] My 4 week old, i have cons about taking her out , although it will be for a few minutes, and i'm probably just going to walk her around in her carriage, and she'll  be wrapped up in her blankey and sweater sleeping.. :)

    I have 5 kids...

Good thing their older and they can go with friends now :)

  11. Our son was born October 1st, and we bought him a little baby pumpkin Halloween outfit.  We didn't take him trick or treating, but we wanted pictures of him on his first Halloween.  It was perfect, because as we were snapping pictures of him, our black kitty hopped up on the sofa and sat next to him.  They looked so cute together.

We took him trick or treating the following year, but just to a few houses in my in-laws' neighborhood, so their friends could see him all dressed up in his costume.  It's not like he could really eat the candy anyway.  By the time he was two, he knew a little but more about what was going on.

  12. I dressed my son up when he was 7 months old. We just took pics, handed out some candy and then took the costume off. Same thing for the next couple of years (when he was 2 he actually refused to dress up and was freaked out by the whole idea of Halloween). He really went trick-or-treating for the first time when he was 3. =]

  13. Well, you're never too young to dress up :) My daughter was 10 months old her first halloween, and I did get a lot of dirty looks from people while we were trick or treating. Not to mention oh, how cute HE is, when there was a pink diaper bag and a barette sticking out from her pooh bear costume. We did give her a few suckers and other types of candy as treats over the year, but mom and dad picked all the good stuff out, lol. I figure it was the only year we could without feeling too guilty. If baby has a sibling, it's fine to take them trick or treating with their older bro or sis, just don't expect candy.

    Good luck!

  14. My first daughter was only a month old at her first Halloween. We put a little Halloween outfit and brought her to the door when the Trick-Or-Treaters came. Since she is older now, and we have two other children, we dress them up and take them all trick or treating. I think once they are old enough to walk it is fine to take them out trick or treating, or younger if they have older siblings. I don't know about giving them any of the candy though. ;o)

  15. My twins were only 4 months old their first Halloween, and we dressed them up. one was a little angel, the other a devil. They didn't go out of course, but we brought them over to see their grandparents who live around the corner. For their next Halloween hey were both witches and they didn't go out, but they had a great time standing in the hallway looking at all the trick or treaters. Last year was the first time we took them out, just around our block, then over to my husband's parents house . We'll probably take them out a little farther this year

  16. Well, we lived in an unsafe neighborhood, and my parents did not have the energy or desire to run around with us on halloween, so we got to stay inside and watch movies instead, and we enjoyed it just fine. Then, when we were teenagers, we moved to a safer neighborhood, and we were all old enough to go trick-or-treating without adult supervision (although I wouldn't have gone at that age if we were still living in the old neighborhood, cause I was old enough to be aware of just how unsafe it could get), so they just let us at it while they stayed home and passed out candy.

  17. Well I'm curious to see what kinda answers you get because my daughter is 7.5 months now and will be 9.5 months at Halloween and I would LOVE to dress her up and take her trick or treating but people will probably think I'm crazy!  Of course I don't want her to have the candy but I could eat it HA HA.  I just can't wait until next year!
