Kamryn is 13 months and isn't really a finger ir toe sucker at all. However she does sometimes get them in her mouth. I would LOVE to paint her toes at least, maybe her fingers too. When did you start? Do they make any kids safe toe and nail polish? I know that the regular ones arent toxic or lead based or anything, but it I am still concerend if they are safe enough considering how much she does end up with her hands in her mouth (eating, playing ect).

  1. Bella never sucked her toes or fingers. We started toes at 12 months, and fingers at 14 months. She never had any problems with it.

When we adopted Cami, she was almost 3 and I don't when her mom had started painting her nails. She had painted nails when we got her.

  2. My daughter is 14 months.  I painted her toes at 10 months for a spring photo and then again about a month ago.  Both times she did fine.  She loved looking at the color on her nails.  I haven't done her fingernails, yet.

  3. My daughter has not yet been born. I have about 3wks to go. However, I don't think I would polish her fingers or her toes at all. I don't think I'd let her wear colored nail polish until she was at least 12 or 13. I feel the same way about nail polish as I do make-up. I wouldn't put make-up on a 5yr old so I don't see myself putting nail polish on a 5yr old either.

  4. i started painting my daughters toes around a year and they did fine.. it wont stay on their nails long as their nails are not "hard" yet so it flakes off sooner than on our fingers but i just used regular nail polish

  5. I waited til almost a year...I did it once b4 when she was maybe 6months or so...but it just didnt look right cuz she was so little.

  6. I wouldn't. Focus on a book or building blocks. She has PLENTY of years to worry about her appearance

  7. I STARTED AT 12 MONTHS BUT WHAT IS REALLY CUTE IS TO BUY THE FLOWER STICKERS TO PUT ON THEIR TOES AND THEN PUT CLEAR NAIL POLISH OVER IT, IT LOOKS SO CUTE.  IT LOOKS LIKE SHE WENT TO THE NAIL SHOP.

  8. Sorry to go against the flow here but it all seems too early for painting toes or fingers, What happens when the varnish chips and needs removing would you be using nail polish remover? I really don't think babies need their nails painted to look prettier, they are perfect how they are. I have a daughter and I started to paint her nails when she was about five years old, sorry if I sound boring but I think you should wait

  9. Whatever Jon Benet!

  10. I started painting my daughters at about 2, but toes will be fine :) They are all non toxic anyways. I just found she wouldn't sit still before the age of 2 to have them done
