  1. when they get their spurs

  2. there is no definite age .. it actually depends .....

normally around 4-5 months .. is usual at first it won't be a normal "c**k a doodle doo" but  a "eeuh ahh"  eventually with practice it'll get there ..

However . if the young cockerel is surrounded by older males more dominating the starting of the crowing can be delayed .. cos crowing is all about status and dominance .. and a young cockerel is not going to do it around older dominate males until older .. usually when they get a bi bigger and reach sexual maturity ..

  3. Hi,

Cockerels begin to crow any time after 16 weeks old. At first they sound like a strangled cat and others around them seem scared. They soon get used to it.

The same goes for bantam of any breed.
