16, but if you are still in school, you will probably have to get a work permit, at the main office, its kinda like a little contract, they have to sign & you do too, i think, and what this does is, if you have to go to an important school event after school, and your boss wont let you, then you can SUE them, =), thats why its good to have that work permit, plus, i dont think they will hire you without it if your under 18, ,-)

In Australia I think 14yrs and nine months +. My friend sis used to work there when she was 16 so it might be 15+ not sure.

you can work there as young as 14 with written consent from your parents.  Places with a gas/flame grill only hire 16 and older, but flat grills like McD's hire as young as 14, in Canada.

16 i think its because 16 is a very apporpet age for some one to start working and taking charge if there own life or as some people say you need to piloting your own plain.

If you are looking for work, you should't even be asking this question.  The LAST place you want to start your working experience is McDonalds!  Think about how that is going to look on your resume!?!!?  They probably start at 15, but my suggestion is to start looking elsewhere for work, you don't want to be there...

Hello, here in australia legal working age is 14 9months.. I just got a job there and its great!!!. Also, it appears some people on here have no idea what they are talking about, its common knowledge that if you can get a job at mcdonalds you can get a job anywhere, it shows that's ur very hardworking and able to learn because its a difficult job.... mcdonals is fantastic on a resume

It depend on where you live. In the US, for example, you must be 15 with wroking papers. But, if you are under 18, you can't use the french fry frier or handle money.
