I have a teenage daughter who's shorter than her classmates, and she really wants to grow taller. But I've heard from many people that people stop growing in height at a certain age. Generally what age does one stop growing completely (especially for females)? If you have any source for your answer, it would be more reliable and helpful than a random guess. Thanks in advance, and 10 points for best answer!

  1. okay so in Females it all depends on when they start puberty.

maybe your daughter is a late bloomer. after you get your period

you have about 3 years untell you are COMPLETELY done.

but after about a year to two you dont grow much more.

i hope it helps! i am going into 7th grade i grew 3-4 inches this year.

  2. I stopped growing in height in the 7th grade.

  3. I'm 17 (almost 18) and have yet to stop growing (5' 9 1/2" barefoot currently). There's hope for your daughter! It's different for everyone. It depends on genetics. If you want you can enter your height and your daughter's fathers height into this site and it'll give you a general idea of how tall she may become.
